Trout Plants - Week of September 25, 2006

Barring adverse weather, water, road conditions, and the availability of trucks and personnel, the following lakes and streams, listed by county, will be restocked the week of September 25, 2006 with catchable-size rainbow trout from the Department of Fish and Game hatcheries:

LOS ANGELES –- Bouquet Canyon Creek, Castaic Lagoon, Elizabeth Lake, and Jackson Lake.
RIVERSIDE –- Hemet Lake.
SAN BERNARDINO –- Big Bear Lake, Jenks Lake, and Mojave Narrows Regional Park Lake.
SAN LUIS OBISPO -– Santa Margarita Lake.
INYO –- Baker Creek, Big Pine Creek, Bishop Creek (Intake II), Bishop Creek (Lower, Middle, South Forks), Cottonwood Creek, Goodale Creek, Owens River (Laws Bridge downstream to Steward Lake and below Tinnemaha), Independence Creek, Lake Sabrina, Lone Pine Creek, North Lake, South Lake, Taboose Creek, Tinnemaha Creek, Tuttle Creek.
MONO –- Buckeye Creek, Convict Creek, Crowley Lake, Green Creek, Lee Vining Creek (South Fork), Little Walker River, Mammoth Creek, Mcgee Creek, Owens River (Benton Crossing Road), Saddlebag Creek, Saddlebag Lake, Tioga Lake, Trumble Lake, Virginia Creek, Virginia Lake (Lower), Virginia Lake (Upper), West Walker River (Section 2), and West Walker River (Section 3).

Well, it looks as though if I don't have a date Friday night, I'll probably be either at Jenks, or Jackson

Did you know that if you use a headlamp at Jackson, some of the roadside signs appear to "float" in the dark through the green stuff
