Ouch, yah that "bites." Well you do have an ocean instead. Here in the Inland area, our fish are like Foster Farms Chicken, they're corn fed.

Ah, Riverside County. With all the charm and artistic style of a velvet Elvis painting. It's a county that worships drywall and smog. If civic identity were a dog, Riverside would be a shiftless mongrel. In other words, hating Riverside County is like hating the Taliban--get in line and pass the ammunition!

Ah, Bouquet Canyon Creek in northern San Fernando Valley. I would love to fish there, but it's absolutely loaded with poison oak. The last time I fished there I got a really bad dose--I looked like an alien from a bad sci fi movie--my face was all swollen and red Of course, if you have no problem with poison oak--go for it! After the plantings, the fishing is excellent

I grew up in the canyon area of Whiting Ranch "where mountain bikers are cougar bait" and at first Poison Oak really got to me and the other guys. But after a few doses of it it became less and less of a problem, after about 6-8 doses instead of 2 weeks it only seems to last for maybe 24 hours on me. But I don't recommend trying to build a tolerance to it and getting it on purpose, that stuff put a few kids in the hospital out here.
Also going swimming after roaming around in Oak seemed to help alot too, that chlorine seemed to get the Oak oil off pretty good.
