rod building

can anyone here give me some help on what i need to get started in rod building. such as tools and materials

Yea i actually made a post a while ago asking the same exact thing lol. Its somewhere in the tackle advice section.

I can tell you what you need to know but I recomend you buy a book. I bought "Rod-Building Guide" by Tom Kirkman. Go to Borders and if they don't have it in stock order it from them.

Go to gofishing.com and see if they have any broken rod componets. I buy a box or two and go through the parts. You can get a box of broken rod parts about 100 pieces for about 25 dollars. Last time I ordered a box I got enough parts to build 10 rods. There are h.d. saltwater parts to ultra light. It is a great way to get started rod building.
