This one sounds like fun! Just kickin' it in Big Bear is fun by itself. The only thing with this one is the first day of this one conflicts with the Albackore/Berkely "Westcoast Fall Surf Slam" derby.

I might do Sunday of this Big Bear tournie.

Am I blind???? I've reviewed the .PDF file for this event and can't figure out what the "makes you a top 5 finisher". Is it total length of all trout? Total weight? Also, should I assume that you can use whatever tackle is normally legal on the lake?

yeah they didnt explain much. it cant be biggest fish because biggest fish has it's own prize.

plus it's 75 dollars, gas, boat rental, tackle, food and more. i can see someone easily spending 200 dollars for this event

Wow when the Beresford high-charter-rolla and cross-country fishing pioneer turns down a fishing event over price, that's when you know it's expensive.

I'd rather have a long @$$ boat ride with bigger fish then a long @$$ car ride up a mountain
