Newport Sand Bass - California Fishing

After a lot of traffic on the five, we got to the boat, set up our tackle and left to spot #1. fishing sucked here, some guy caught a sculpin and thats about it. The captain decided to drive around for a while and our patience was rewarded with a wide f'ing open bass bite. Bass on every cast on plastics tipped with bait.

Everyone but Nick caught more fish then they could count.

jackpot went to a stupid ugly cuda.

thats because i made an exact count

same with alex. i got 18 you guestimated that i caught 25 big difference lol. you guestimated that you got thirty. guestimations arent always accurate. alex caught one litteratly on each cast, he got 26 so for my guestimation with you guys id say between 15-30

i wanna have a showdown next time with exact counts hehehehe ill post pics of my fish later

though you did get snapped 4 times.

ok all jokes aside i was thinking of getting a big fat 6 inch tube jig and sticking a sponge soacked with scent and tipped with squid or 'chovie.

that new guy i put on was messin with my line. ne way that might work, those bass are stupid right now, so i think theyll take that.

i need new guides for two of my reels.

would you be willing to go on a 3/4 day on sunday or a twilight on friday or saterday?

Yeah I showed nick what fishing was all about, actually I think the guy with the broken tip using a rhino spincast reel outfished nick last night
