Yea make sure you make a stop at Isabella to do some crappie fishing. Chartruese mini jigs have been killing them.
The river has cleared up ALOT so the trout fishing has HEATED UP! Use nightcrawlers, salmon eggs, crickets, and chartruese powerbait.

That's the way you're supposed to hold it right?????????????
I might be up for it. We'll see how next week goes. I am going up to bishop this weekend and will be fishing cherry beach the saturday after that, but my buddy has been bugging me to go to the Kern with him so that just might be the weekend.

Fo Sho!
Just let us know. If not those weekends we can always plan another one down the line. The Kern River(from what I've heard) and depending on what part you're fishing, normally stays pretty full. I heard the water levels are great right now. Thank GOD it hasn't been a blazing hot summer inland or else there would be hardly any water for the little fishies.

A river is a simple thing to fish. I just hit the campgrounds and the places where the road meets or gets close to the river. The DFG guys dont want to carry a scoop full of fish very far so they usually stock close to the road, the fish will spread out on their own but most of them stay within a few dozen yards of where they were tossed in. I dont think I will spend any time fishing the Lake since I will only be up there less than two days...Thanks anyway...
