Newport or Dana Point afternoon halfday Thursday

I am thinking of going out on the 12:00 P.M. halfday this Thursday if the sandbass fishing stays like it is. My choice of landing will depend on where they are going to get the fish. BTW...the Twilight boat on Friday night was a blast, from now on I am taking a telescopic trout rod and some mini jigs for the freakin mackeral schools outside the harbor. I am also thinking of taking a heavy action rod for the bat rays...

I am up for it. Friday was awesome. Let me know and lets keep track of the numbers and I am all over it. Hopefully the captain will want to catch fish this time.

Um Nick, I nearly caught as many as you, however, all of my fish were BIGGER than your fish. You had so many non legal and legal dinks I felt bad for you I only caught one fish non legal and that was on the plastic you were using I changed that really quick to the biggest sardine I could find. Sent it to the bottom. Bam 2.5lb Grumpy!

No I took ten home. In fact I was the only guy to get a complete limit. You say tyou caught more yet, I only saw you hooked up twice and that was on a mackeral. I saw that you kept getting them to come unbuttoned. I saw that a few times

To Sean, Newport is fishing the flats. Only dana and oceanside are fishing san onofre

We say about a 50lb bat ray come swimming through and a guy fishing 80lb was getting spooled before it busted off. I love fishing those batrays. I am surprised more guys dont.

ask the crew members next time you know i caught more macks than that i did get unbottoned but i did catch 22 many people caught over 20 and didnt take home there limit alot of people were tossing back. i threw em back looking for bigger ones and you only had 8 in ur bag from what i counted :P

Those boats are also the 3/4 day boats. Not the half day boats. WAY too far for the half day boats to go.

Also Nick, I had ten You know how I know? They charged me $7.50 lol But seriously you must of missed one or two when you counted. Lets go out tuesday night as well and we will see what is what.
