3/4 day on Thursday...
Just a "heads up"- I am planning on hitting a 1/2 day or 3/4 day out of Newport or Dana Point this comming Thursday if the Dorados are still around.
I was supposed to be working 13 days straight Starting Sunday night but I told my boss that I HAD to take a weekday off to try and get a Dodo!

Last couple of days had me doubtfull but it looks like the 3/4 day out of Newport Landing kicked some butt Tuesday, Daveys sucked as did most Dana boats. I have arranged to get off work at around 5:00 or 5:30 AM on Thursday so I should be down there before 6:00. The boat leaves at 7:00 and the earlier we get there the better our spots will be.
I am calling to make my reservation ASAP so if you have not yet done so do it now. By the way if you go to the Newport Landing website you can print out a coupon for $3 off...

Actually looks like I am going out by myself, El Kabong cant make it and my dad backed out as well. I am still going to try and make it but I do have a plan B (just in case).
If by the time I get down to the landing at around 5:45 AM there are already to many people or if the boat leaves early like it did today I will just pontoon the harbor, I have all of my harbor gear including my pontoon in my truck all ready to go.
