Guided Muskie trip - fundraiser at Lake Pomme de Terre, MO.

Guided Muskie trip
fundraiser at Lake Pomme de Terre, Missouri

Here is some info for the guided musky trip I was referring to in another thread. If anyone would like more info, PM me and I will send you the link. This is not an official Hookup event. It is being put on by Muskies Inc. The price is less than half what the local guides charge for an all day trip, plus you get dinner afterwards. This is an incredible opportunity for someone to catch the freshwater fish of a lifetime!
Most musky fisherman nationwide believe the next record musky will come from Pomme de Terre. It could be caught by you at this event!

When: Saturday, October 21st - 2006

Where: Lake Pomme de Terre, Missouri

Cost: $125.00 per angler

Hosted by: Pomme de Terre chapter of Muskies Inc.

Included: A full day professionally guided Muskie trip on Lake Pomme de Terre; and a Banquet Barbeque Dinner and ceremony afterwards.

For an $125 donation per person, a member of Pomme Chapter of Muskies Inc. will guide you in their boat, furnish the gas, show you beautiful lake Pomme de Terre in south central Missouri, and do what they can to help you put a Muskie in the boat.
After all day on the lake, a banquet dinner and social hour will be provided.

If you are coming from "out of the state of Missouri", please give yourself at least a month advance for purchasing your plane tickets; you will save quite a bit of money.
We can use this thread as a forum to discuss travel, accomodations, Muskie fishing techniques, etc.

All right! There is one definate and a couple possibles coming out to this event! Did I forget to mention that the main Bass Pro Shops is only about an hour away? The place is several hundred thousand square feet and they have a Bass Pro outlet next door. Great deals in there. We will make the trip down there either before or after the musky trip, depending on when people arrive. We will also do some fishing on the Gasconade River and maybe hit up Lake of the Ozarks. All depends on how long people are staying. Hope to see some more of you guys out here.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I've never fished out there before. I'll see what I can do about getting out there!

I hope you can make it, Jon. The fishing is WFO that time of year! Depending on how many people come out, I should be able to help out with a place to stay.

One vital piece of information I forgot to add is MO fishing permits are priced as follows: non-resident $35 per year, resident $12 per year. Looking forward to meeting all of you that come out!

Just a reminder that this event is about two months away. I want anyone that is thinking of coming out here for this to have time to plan (and save money) for the trip.
PM me, or post, any questions you have about this event.

LOL The event happened, but there was too much going on back in CA for the people who were going to come. So they didn't make it. And I overslept that morning, so I blew it at this end, lol!
I will try to get a report, and pics, from some people that DID wake up in time to go.
