Fishing is WFO in MO

There have been several giant musky caught recently at Pomme de Terre and Fellows Lake. At the bottom of the post, is a pic of an extraordinary specimen. Pomme de Terre has been especially hot lately. Not only are the musky biting but the bass, crappie, and catfish have been off the hook!
If anyone would like to come out here for some excellent bass, musky, catfish, or just about anything else that swims in freshwater, just drop me a PM. We'll set something up.
In Oct, there will be a special musky trip planned, that I would love for some of you guys from back home, to come out and attend. I will post details about that soon.

Nice Darren! My trip out there in October for the Guided trip we're doing and hopefully this tourney will be off the hook. You'll have some Cali "fam bam" out there soon.

Nice Musky!!! What kind of gear do you use for those? I know St Croix are coming out with Legend Musky rods!

You can get away with heavy bass tackle. If you fish big swimbaits, that tackle is perfect. Whatever reel you use, make sure it has a smooth drag system and can hold a fair amount of line. I like the Daiwa Heartland swimbait rods for musky. The Heartlands can be used for bass, musky, striper, salmon, cats, and inshore fishing. Very versatile rod, IMO. And they only run about $60 bucks each. Hard to beat!
