Malibu Surf Fishing 6/10/04
I went surf fishing after work today with my buddy Frank. We hit up a few different beaches in Malibu. The tide was incoming and the waves were huge! We were fishing with grubs and sand crabs and caught about 7 or 8 fish between us. Most of them were walleye perch and there were a couple barred perch in the mix. It was kind of a slow night.
We found a cool spot where there was a big dropoff just a few feet out and there were dolphins coming right up to the beach! It was crazy, there were at least 5 of them no more than 25 feet from where we were standing. So that was a cool thing to see. Called it a day around 7 and went to Jack in the Box for dinner. Fishing was ok, but the weather was great!
