Salt Creek 6/8/04 - New Water = Not Good - report & photos
Today was a disaster... I can't explain it.....
STATS --------- Temps - high 80's / sunny, humid Water Temps - low 70's Wind - MPH - 0-5 mph USGS - 5.6ft -- - - 98CFS Visibility - 1-3ft Number of fish caught -2  JUG and I fished the creek from 10am till 1pm. We fished new water today but these unpressured waters held barely any fish for us. By these photos that are below, the water was full of river structure. (sand and rock bottom, eddies, riffles, logs, boulders, etc...) I know that the 41,000 Bass are in there, stocked back in 1996-97. They have to be there........... Otherwise, the baits that were in use for me today were just my assortment of twisters & jigs and Mike was using small cranks. Here are the photos................            I still haven't caught a single Smallmouth Bass from this creek. Some of these spots are worth for another time. TOTALS --------- Me - 1 dink Largemouth, 1 Green sunfish Mike - 0 JIG |
