SACRAMENTO RIVER, REDDING TO ANDERSON:
Kirk Portocarrero of Outdoor Adventures Sport Fishing said fishing for rainbow trout is great with guided groups getting 15-25 fish each day. There's a great bug hatch present in the afternoon and the water level is good for drifting. June is a prime month to produce many nice size rainbows as anglers are catching and releasing them to six pounds. Working well are pheasant tail No. 16, prince nymphs No. 16 and caddis patterns and egg patterns. FEATHER RIVER, OROVILLE: Portocarrero said anglers are starting to catch spring run salmon now. They are back-trolling Flatfish lures between Oroville and Gridley.
