Fifht Street fishing 5-31-04 - California Fishing

Location: Oxnard surf beach on fifth street

Bait: Fussel, Sandcrabs, and Swimbait in Anchovy color size 3"/ red head 1/2 oz.

Time: Noon until 4:00pm.

Equipment: Medium actions spinning and baitcasters.

Summary: My and the family went to the beach to relax and enjoy some surffishing on this great holiday. As most of you know the beaches were full from one direction to the other. Secondly, the perch were hitting on sandcrabs on a high and low rig set up. Mine that was 12" came on the swimbait. I was thinking it was a halibut. She must really wanted that swimbait for sure. My gf had two perch and her daughter got one on sandcrabs. As for the water color it is still red tide out there. What can I say priceless to enjoy the beach with family.
