REI Paddle Demo

Normally I don't post work related topics on this board but something happened with this event that I just had to share with everyone. REI is hosting it's annual Paddle Demo at Mother's Beach in Long Beach. Click on the link below to get the details. Last night one of our biggest kayak reps backed out of our demo. He will not be able to supply us with any demo boats. This event was announced in our store fliers, newspapers, clinics, and by our staff for months. To make sure that we have enough boats there for people to try out each store in the district had to commit to providing boats from store inventory. These are BRAND NEW BOATS! We have never taken them out of the stores before. Since they will be used by several people on the demo day we do not want to return them used back to our store. We will be selling them on site for you to pick up at the end of the day.

Here is the deal. Everyone who attends the clinic gets a 15% off coupon that can be used in any REI to purchase a kayak. The boats that came from the stores may be purchased on site for an additional 5% off. All you have to do is wait until we are done with the demo and pick them up after 2:00pm. I know that there will be 1 Tarpon 120 for sale which is great for fishing in. Ocean Kayak is providing a demo fleet so there won't be any available to purchase. There will be boats by Wilderness Systems, Necky, and Old Town available. Get there early because I am sure that the boats will be sold quickly.
