I had to drive my sister out to Lemont, so I did that. I wasted my time there catching 3 small gills for the 45gal native aquarium, and just messing around with the big-boys in the 1/2 acre pond.

The smaller gills like always were caught on both waxies & red wigglers tipped on a small ice jig under a clip-on float. The bigger sunfish & bluegills were caught on 1-2" twisters on 1/64oz jigs or on a 1/64oz jig tipped with Berkley Gulp 1" panfish grubs. I would just pitch the small jig & GULP and slowly swim it back to me. All the big-boys were caught on this.
