Whats your favorite artifical for bass?

Hey everyone! I'm going on a party boat out of Dana Wharf this weekend for some bass. Mainly calicos. I was just wondering what everyone's favorite artifiicals for bass is. Just curious. My favorite are chartruese skampis tipped with a strip of squid. What artificials have worked best for you?

4 and 5'' Big hammer swimbaits. For Calicos any swimbait with brown/rootbeer color. I've had better luck with the darker colors. Sand bass LOVE anything that is green or chartreuse. Spider jigs also work great for sandies especially near the rocks. Oh yeah another bait that I like are the 5'' whams/Blams with the green back and silver body. I use all these baits with a red leadhead.

Yes you rig a Big Hammer swimbait with a lead head. Oh yeah Kei Lime colored swimbaits are also one of my fav. Check out the web site for more info; www.swimbait.com
Flukes do work but only when the bass are feeding on the surface; boiling or breezing on the chum. Also when you are fishing deep in the kelp. You rig it with no weight and cast it on the kelp and twich it on the kelp and the calico with jump through the kelp and grab it. It only works if they are boiling aready. Plus the sportboats might not get close enough to kelp to use that technique.

I like any of the 4" Storm swim baits or jerk baits but my favorate is the Cabela's Livin Eye action tail, its a dark green with foil insert and has a shaped leadhead. It comes in several colors and sizes and I am very confident in it ability to produce fish. I am looking forward to fishing the Panther Martin Vivif this season, I took them out once allready but it turned out to be a tough trip so I will not judge them yet.
