Catfishing Trip

With the catfish season soon approaching, I would like to head out to one of the local lakes with a friendly group of people and fish, drink beer, shoot the sh!t etc...

Myself and a couple others will offer to go and catch fresh mackerel the day before the trip. If we are unsuccessful in making bait, then there is always the local Asian markets, $.99 a pound.

If you are interested, please reply with some suggestion (date, time, lake etc.)

Hmm, I have a new catfish bait I want to try out too. I'm free on Sundays, Teusdays, and Fridays.

What's up people? I'm new to the board this is actualy my first reply. I am looking for some people to hit some spots with. I was at somewhere last Friday and it was WFO. Myself and two friends caught seven three to four pound channels and the trout were killin those earthworms too. Let me know if you guys get together or message me and ill give you the spot.......like I said I'm new to the site and don't know the protocol for posting spots on threads or not.......Later!!!

Okay gents. Please reply with the lake you would most like to fish.

SARL, Hesperia, Irvine, Corona, and any other lake that has night fishing.

I personally would like to fish a SARL because shore fishing is usually great on the catfish, it is close to the LA county area, and because they offer 24hr fishing on the weekends.

I have yet to hear any reports coming out of any of the pay lakes so I guess it is best to just wait and see if they have started stocking some larger cats. In a couple weeks sounds about right. Probably on the 20th or 27th (Saturday night) fishing into Sunday at SARL sounds good. Making fresh bait will not be a problem as mackerel are being caught all up and down the coast. I will go out and bring back a bucket full of macks for everyone to use.

So by a show of hands, who is down for the 20th or the 27th?
