72nd St. Jetty 5/20

Fished from 5:45 to about 7:30 p.m. using lug worms. First cast before I could set down my pole I get hit and reel in a small yellowfin croaker. After a couple small croaker I get a solid hit and it starts to take line and after a nice battle I get it in and it's my first corbina ever, small but it put up a great fight. Would have taken a picture but had no camera next time I'll bring one. It was only about 14" then slowed down a bit and only got one more yellowfin croaker. Still have lots of lug worms left over probably go back tomorrow or over the weekend.

were you using a whole lug worm or half?

I was just using enough to fit on the hook. Try to use a small hook like a 8 or 10.
