Float tubing Newport Harbor
Next Thursday I am thinking of launching my tube on Huntington Harbor, in a month or two I would like to launch on Newport but I dont know of any good places to park and launch from that are not in the main channel...any suggestions?

When it comes to Newport Bay it's best to find your own spot. Usually I've had the most luck fishing in areas that fishermen have never mentioned. The coast guard beach is a good spot though. The Back Bay has been great lately, lots of sandies, spotties, and some halibut. All I can really say is to park where it's free and usually it's in front of some bodies house. Thats what I do. I almost never pay for paying anywhere I fish. When you fish Huntington harbor definitly try the area in front of PCH, that area has been on fire lately.
