Pins Minnow

what do you guys think about this lure, ive had great success using the smaller size for bass but how is it for trout and how would you fish it?

i had a few small trout follow it but nothing else. am i doing something wrong? ive tried stop and go, jerking retrieve and a steady, i think the jerking works best but trout only follow it.

very true! I've never really fished them from shore before so I don't know, but if trolling works, I would try a steady retrieve.

yeah, those are really fun. I have an 11ft raft with a trolling motor that I troll with. It works really well.

Im not sure if you guys remember (me being so old and all) but SARL use to plant "Brownbows" That were supposeldy a cross between a brown and a rainbow anyway. Fishing the nets many years ago (back when it was dirt and an old tattered net) I killed those browns on that lure. Rainbow trout pattern. I have also done very well in rivers in the sierras. Relling it in very slowly looks like it is just swimming in the current and it gets nailed often.
