After going through traffic we got to the pier at 12:15 we met up with sean and chris at the end of the pier. After rigging up I had to go to the car to grab the food. When I came back alex had pulled up a little bass on my rod. After a few bumps here and there and a starfish. I decided to fish for bait fish. Sean, alex, and I all tied on sabikis and began fishing. I began slayin the queenfish. Then on one cast my pole went double and the drag was going off after a short fight I brought up my first pier caught wsb, about 14”. After quickly taking pics we threw it back. We continued to slay the baitfish after that, alex managed a walleye surfperch in while fishing for bait. A few of our poles had some good hits but we didn’t get anything. We decided to go down to the mid section of the pier for croaker. Within a few minutes something triggered the clicker on one of my shark poles, after a very fast and short fight I brought up an 18” topsmelt. The fishing began to slow after that, chris was consitantly getting bites, but didn’t manage to hook ne of the fish. After alex bought some mussel the fishing began to pick up. I hooked up to another small sandbass then chris did the same. Alex hooked up to a 3lb yellowfin, but snapped it just before we were gonna lift it up. after that alex was the only one that caught fish he caught 3 croaker by the end of the day. Had fun though the fishing was on the slow side, but im looking forward to the next club meeting

Yea it was really fun. I hooked up w/ a lot of baitfish, but nothing too exciting. At the end of the day, i wasnt really prepared to fish for bass, croaker, and those things. Even though i didnt get anything big, it was still a beautiful day out there. I hope to see some more members at the next meeting!
