here are some tips on the gear you should bring. i highly recomend baitcasters preferably a reel with a clicker and that can hold 200yards of 20lb test for the shark and ray fishing. a good pole with a sturdy backbone is required you want to be able to drive the hook into the sharks mouth. hooks should be sharp, gorila hooks in 2/0-8/0 are ideal depending on the size bait. o yea a 50lb mono leader should be used as a toothguard for leos. sinkers should be 2-6ounces i use torpedos, like sean said sliders are the best for sharks and rays
when fishing for the smaller fish i use a diawa spinmatic loaded with 2lb cuda, but that may be a little extreme, so for beginers id reccomend a medium action pole spooled with 6-10lb test. a reel that holds 200yards of 8lb would be good. i use 1ounce sinkers for the smaller fish. i tie up a sliding rig with a #6 mosquito hook. my top bait is mussel it catches croaker, perch, bass, smelt, and corbina. squid ell take bass, rays, sharks, and white croaker (tomcod) if you have ghost shrimp its a baby leo shark killer.
ill be out there on sunday in a dark blue predatoryfish.net shirt
see ya there
