Afternoon halfday Thursday 05-13

Going out of Newport Landing, they have been slamming the Calicos and it will be my first saltwater trip this year. I am going to try my new plastics...Panther Martin "Vivif"...anybody used these yet???

Good luck out there! I've never used those before, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard of a Panther Martin "Vivif". Let us know how it works.

i was reading tackle reviews at some website and they gave it an 8.5 (the highest i saw them give) so they might be good. under cons it said that the smaller sizes didnt kick the tail as well as the larger ones

They look better then the Storm baits (witch I love) but they are not as soft, in the salt water that could be good I guess...I will post my report Thursday night.

Try an optima swim bait (rainbow trout) We use to drop them all the time for big lings and big calicos

In fresh water its Rainbow trout, in Salt water is Bleeding Mackeral...thanks

actually ive heard a lot of stories about people catching saltwater fish with rainbow trout colored 3 inch big hammers

Its a joke...you see saltwater bass do not feed on Rainbow trout, they do feed on mackeral, the package may say Rainbow trout, but the "Sandies" and "Calicos" think its a bleeding mackeral...
