Madison River Fly Fishing Catalog

Do any of you guys get the Madison River Fishing Company fly fishing catalog in the mail??

I wait for it every year.

It's not in color and all pretty like a lot of all the other fly fishing catalogs, but it the best one IMO. I just got mine today and there's alot of great stuff in there. They have basically the whole line of Fish Pond and William Joseph chest /guide packs and vest combinations. I've had my eye on the Willian Joseph Coastal Pack for a while and I think I'm gonna order it through the catalog. They also have this new W.J. Wave Carbon trout net. This thing looks freakin' sweet! It's a shallow carbon fiber composite trout net. It's a bit more compact than most trout nets.

Anyway just wanted to know if any of you guys get the catalog.

I think friend of mine gets it...you occasionally get an "insert" without the rest of the catalog, for sale items?

I was "jonesing" for some W&J stuff...but I'm discovering that I don't like vests (but you can hold alot) and chest packs because the storage areas get in the way of my hands moving...so a friend of mine got me that pack that has only one strap that goes across one shoulder and the main bag hangs behind you until you need it...of course I haven't used it yet because you only need it if you fish rivers and creeks, and I generally don't except for one week in the Fall, but it shore loooks purty

Oh Ray, you gotta try the William Joseph "Coastal Pack". It's so conforming to your body, and was designed just for the reason you just said.......so it doesn't get in the way.

Ray, Madison River Fishing Company carries the TFO stuff, BTW.

Sorry, 'Couldn't resist the last post...

Tony: The Coastal gets in my way also. I was eyeballing the Simms Vertical, but I think there were some side pockets that bugged...I think I have the "creel". I can wear either a regular backpack (I have to spin it around to get anything), a fanny pack (stuff gets wet), or something that hangs behind me, but I can easily flip forward if I want something. I really want to make use of the Tippet Control System, but I haven't needed to use my "creel"/vest yet.

To me, the Simms stuff is freakin' sweet, but much more bulky than the WJ stuff.

Another one I like is called the Mongo Guide Vest (which is not really a vest but more like a pack, like the WJ Coastal Pack) and then there's the Fishpond Backwater pack
