Well, knowing you nick, you are going to use these for surf fishing. I'd say that you will most likely catch a perch on these.

There are two rigs you can use: Carolina Rig (Sliding Sinker Rig) or a hi/low setup.

What rig do you usually use?

Also, a good person to ask would be fishingbeast.

First, is found the sand crabs on the beach where the wet and dry beach part mix in. I start out by looking for the birds that feed on them. Now for hooking them I have two ways. First, in the front mouth part of the sand crabs if going to use carolina rig. lastly, on the high and low rig I put them in the back comming out the bottom of crab. They will catch halibut, perch, croakers, and sharks. There you have it. Hope this help.

rreck's #1 rule for any fishing situation, KEEP THE BAIT MOVING, unless you are fishing for bottom feeding scavengers like catfish or targeting carp all other fish prefer bait thats moving naturally. Most fish are preditory by nature so the bait must be kept moving. If your fishing past the breakers keep the bait off the bottom about a foot so it moves, if you are in the surf keep it moving with the wave movement. When fishing in a stream for trout you will produce more if the bait is moving down stream past the trout like any other natural food source right?
