Check out this link to pierfishing.com, I've seen your bat ray reports so I figure you like catching them.
Big Bat Ray!
They said it might be the biggest PIER bat ray.

Man, that thing is huge! My biggest was 51 inches from the Channel Islands Harbor. That thing must have taken forever to land!

and it was off a pier! that guys is one lucky mofo because the batray didnt run under the pier and around the pilings!

Nick, if you had caught a 250 lb bat ray for example, and you would be in the record books, wouldnt you keep it even though you wouldn't eat it?? You could always find someone who wants it.
