FLW Announces Entry Dates For 2006 Kingfish Tour, FLW Kingfish Series, FLW Redfish Series

FLW Outdoors, the world’s premier fishing-tournament organization, announced Thursday the entry dates for its 2006 saltwater-fishing tournament trails -
the $1.9 million Wal-Mart FLW Redfish Series, the $1.82 million Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Tour and the new $1.8 million Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Series.
Once again the
FLW Redfish Series features two divisions - Eastern and Western - with four, three-day $200,000 qualifying tournaments per division. Teams compete for a top award of as much as $50,000 in each qualifier and as much as $100,000 in the series’ $300,000 no-entry-fee championship. Registration for the top 50 teams from each division in 2005 begins immediately and runs through Jan. 17, 2006. Ranger boat owners may register for the 2006 FLW Redfish Series beginning Jan. 18, 2006. Champion, Hydra-Sports, Seaswirl and Wellcraft boat owners may register beginning Jan. 19. All other entries will be accepted beginning Jan. 20. Teams that enter all four qualifying tournaments in a division by Jan. 20 will be given priority over teams that enter fewer than four events. Entry fees are unchanged for 2006 at $750 per team.

FLW Kingfish Tour has upped the ante for 2006 with four, three-day $330,000 qualifying tournaments compared to two-day $300,000 qualifiers in 2005. Teams compete for a top award of as much as $100,000 in each qualifier and as much as $150,000 in the tour’s $500,000 no-entry-fee championship. Hydra-Sports, Seaswirl and Wellcraft boat owners may register for the 2006 FLW Kingfish Tour beginning Jan. 23, 2006. All other entries will be accepted beginning Jan. 24. Teams that enter all four qualifying tournaments by Jan. 24 will be given priority over teams that enter fewer than four events. Entry fees are unchanged for 2006 at $1,500 per team.

FLW Kingfish Series features five divisions - Florida: East Coast, Florida: West Coast, North Carolina, South Carolina/Georgia and Gulf Coast - with three, one-day $100,000 qualifying tournaments per division. Teams compete for a top award of as much as $30,000 in each qualifier and as much as $75,000 in the series’ $300,000 no-entry-fee championship. Hydra-Sports, Seaswirl and Wellcraft boat owners may register for the new 2006 FLW Kingfish Series beginning Jan. 25, 2006. All other entries will be accepted beginning Jan. 26. Teams that enter all three qualifying tournaments in a division by Jan. 26 will be given priority over teams that enter fewer than three events. Entry fees are $500 per team.
