Surffishing reports for 4-18-04 and 4-19-04.

As for the 4-18-04 I was fishing the Power Plant in Oxanrd for nothing for two hours of fishing. The waves were really bad for for trying to stand in knee high water. Now for the better report for 4-19-04 at the North Oxnard Jetty beach. It started off pretty bad with cutting line form time to time. Then over time I got my second halibut from that area. The size was 20" and fat. Wow nice ice breaker for the time. However my day was not over yet with another hook up with a miss on second halibut. Next another hook and miss on the halibut. Can you say on a mission lol. Last hook up was a good set on a 14 1/2" halibut on plastic for the whole time. I must say that pretty darn good for only two hours of fishing today. Sorry no pics this time. I forgot the camera(rats). Oh well another day and time. As for color it was a grub of Motor Oil/Red flakesin the size 2 1/2".

Hey Butler,
I'm surprised the fishing up there isn't better. The LA and orange county beaches are pretty good right now. Were you only targeting halibut?

I started out for perch with 1" grub. However, I know that there are halibuts hanging in that area all the time. Alot of bait holds in the area for a easy meal.
