Fresh newbie onboard!

Hey everyone, my name is Shane, and I'm an... Oh wrong spot for that speech! I have been reading a lot of everyones posts and they have been very helpful. I hope to return the help by posting reports or any info when I can. It's a pleasure to be a member and hopefully I'll see some of you on the water.

Hey welcome to the board. I'm glad you like it here so far, don't be afraid to ask any questions or anything. What part of California do you live in by the way?

well, I am very much into Camaro's, though more third generation. You can see my site at projectfireball.com, nothing up yet as the resto just started, but It's getting a stroked LS6. Is the 454 built, stock, you still have the numbers matching block for the 396?

Welcome to the board again.

She's pretty built, currently putting on some afr heads and some new pistons. Shes a work in progress but something special already. I'll check out your site. What kind of rear end are you gunna use to hook it up?

Going to be using a 9", was looking at the 12bolt for the weight savings and potential fuel savings over the best of a 9", but I like the fact the 9" is bullet proof. I just sold some AFR 195's that I had flowing pretty good on a built 355 putting out about 420hp with a super ram.

I got me some 315's for their good flow down low. Your definitely right about the weight saving on the 9". That's why I opted for the 12 bolt and I can rebuild it if needed but it saves weight, and pretty tough to bust a well built one. I wanna see some pics of the camaro when shes done. Looks like a monster. I posted a pic of my baby on the gallery too.

As far as the 12bolt I am still far away from there, but a nice moser 12bolt built specifically for the 82-92 Camaro seems to hold up even with guys running 500+hp

Thanks for the compliment. Sounds like a nice setup. If you need any parts or info (which I doubt) let me know. My buddy owns a performance shop and I can give you his number if you want. See you around.
