Fish Tacos?

Everyone speaks of making fish tacos here, but I have not seen a recipe on how to make them. I got some good fish that I would like to make some out of, but not sure how. Whats the way everyone else makes them?

Thanks

Bud

Thumbs up FISH TACOS REPLY

I'll tell you what bud, i got a good way on cookin' some fish tacos. What i do first is start up my grill! I like to cut up some tomatoes into slices and then cut in threes. Then cut up some onions, bell peppers, and some hot peppers the same way.then what i do is mix all the veggies in a bowl with some season-all. Then after that i stuff the belly of the fish with the veggies. Then i season the fish with season-all and some lemon pepper, and a little lemon juice. Wrap each fish seperately in foil making sure the veggies are in the belly. Wrap those fish twice, nice and tight and throw them on the grill. You'll know when its done, when the meat is flaky. When their done, just get some corn or flour( i like corn) and take the meat off the bones. Meat just slides off, and it tastes great with those veggies. I made my fish that way plenty of times and i've always have gotten compliments. You should try it, i don't think you would go wrong with this recipe. I've tried this with cats, bass, black drums, reds.......it all tastes great.

There is no Barred Surf Perch in the Gulf of Mex. (Pacific only). There are hundreds of different species of Perch in the world(fresha and saltwater). What kind of Perch are you referring to?

Great fish tacos all over Mexico, but I like the way they serve them at the booths around the fish market in Ensenada best. Cut any good fish into 3/4 inch squares, season with salt & pepper and roll in flour, dip in beer batter and drop in hot oil, 360 degrees is perfect. they cook very fast, as soon as light brown they are done. serve on warm corn tortias with shreaded cabbage, diced tomatoes, cheese and salsa. yum.
Beer batter; start with about a cup of flour add salt, pepper, a couple of shots of hot sauce, add beer untill u have a thin smooth batter. let it sit in the frig at lease an hour.
