Costa Rica

Hey Guys,

I'm back from a 2 week vacation in Costa Rica. Theres too much that happen down there from me getting stuck in quick sand to me paying off a cop, so I'm just gonna get to the fishing part.

The fishing is decent over there but, really $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I chartered a boat with my brother in-law and nephew and headed out of the Los Suenos Marina near Jaco. The captain was awesome and put us on fish ASAP. Tons and tons of Skipjack and Dorado, all you want, Every couple hundred yards you would spot them boiling. The Skipjack were small but, fun for my 10 year old nephew to catch. The Dorado went around 10-30 lbs. The main target was Sailfish but, we got none. We were trolling your basic jethead type of trolling lure.

I'm to tired to post pics now, I'll get to them when I unpack. I have to check the 300 emails I have in my inbox.

Later, Eric

Glad to see you made it back. Sounds like the fishing was good, but I want to hear the quicksand story haha.

Hey Guys,

Well a few things happened out in Costa Rica, some pretty crazy stuff too:

-got my left leg stuck in quicksand, my wife pulled me out.

-had to run across a 15 yard stretch of army ants

-had to run from wild boars

-found out why Howler monkeys are call Howler monkey, had one scare me so bad I almost peed my pants!

-ate termites, taste like peanuts

-grabbed a poisonus snake on accident

-stopped by a cop going 65 in a school zone

-had to drive across a 50 yard wide river because a bridge collapsed

and alot of other things!!!

Eric

LMAO, sorry had to laugh. Now thats what I call a vactaion. Good thing you didnt have an argument with the wife before the quicksand incedent.

I learned something last night that Howler monkeys are the loudest land animals. So was it like a 500# sea lion jumping in front of you scary?

Cant wait till the next fishing session to hear all about it.

Costa Rica is a must do if your into nature but, not if your into the party scene.

I stayed at 2 places both owned by Marriott, the first was Marriott San Jose, thisis in the capital of Costa Rica close to the airport. I only stayed there a night to get some sleep because I had a long drive into the south of the country.

The next stop was Los Suenos Resort near Jaco, a popular surf spot. this place was the nicest hotel I've ever been to. The weird part is that its in the middle of no where , where you don't expect luxury.
