Robert Gallia of the charter boat El Dorado said windy weather prevented most of the fleet from leaving the docks last Saturday. The one charter boat to go out, the New Golden Eye, stopped short and decided to pull crab traps only. After pulling 35 limits of crabs, a total of 210, the trip was cut short and the vessel returned. When the weather improved Last Sunday, the Berkeley fleet reached the main Farallon Islands, scoring limits of rockfish and 15-25 ling cod per boat. Ling cod season closes today, but the fleet will continue to offer combo trips through December.
