Leeches for Trout? What Do You Think

well im debating wether or not i should get some live leeches online for trout bait. what do you guys think. im planing to use em at irvine or sarl. i know the trout up in the sierras gorge on these things, but do you think theyd work for the trout down here?

I've never heard of anyone using them around here, but if they are a natural food for trout, it would probably be worth a try. If I were you, I'd give it a shot and see what happens. Let us know how it goes.

Yeah give them a try, never seen anyone use them but they are worth a shot. Or you can just flyfish and use some leach patterns..?

I don't know about leeches because it seems to me like they would just blend in on the bottom. I ordered grasshoppers online one time (live) and they worked just as well as anything else. I would say go for the grasshoppers.
