Arrived @ 12:30am to an armada of anglers awaiting for the gate to open on the fallin fire fighters tourney. By 4:30am the line was long, and from a head count, 600 anglers particpated in the event.
Lauched the float tube in the boat docks area, fish boiling when I hit the water, but what I thought were trout, ended up being carp. Moved into more of the boat docks for nothing but line snagging weeds  Moved along the west shore for 1 small rat, so moved farther down the west shore near sandy beach; watched one guy for a 6lb'er or so, and another beginner let the appear to be large fish take him into the toolies, which then broke off  Went for 2 more rats, and decided to head for the flats; trolled all the way to the flats for nothing, and according to a guy who had a meter, he indicated "no fish schooling the area". :x Moved back to the west shore and watched one guy almost fall in from standing up for another 5-6lber. This was the sensus unless you were in Sierra Cove, as the bite seemed to be better there.
Today was like a flat line on a heart monitor, Code Blue in E.R., flat line on the fish finders  Heard one guy on a float tube even try to split a deal with a guy on a boat to weigh in a 5-6lber
BanginBob's rating: Blank! Blank!
3 rats caught for the tourney, not even worth checking in
