I'm heading up to Sacramento for the week (business), but thought since I had the evenings pretty much free, I'd do a little fly fishing after work.
Since my flight gets in at 1:30 PM today, I'm going to hit American Fly Fishing CO., on Fair Oaks, buy a couple of "local" flies and scout out the area for Wednesday and Thursday evenings

Good luck up there. I'm looking forward to reading your report!
Nice!
Looking forward to your report.
I used to fish the American River in Auburn right off the I-80, they got some nice rainbows in there. Not much fishing pressure, just u and some occasional gold panners....

Welcome aboard Mike. Look forward to your report back. Love those Nor Cal reports!
Good luck dude! But isnt most fly fisihing on the Sacramento River done from a drift boat?
Moo,
The Sac is so fricken long and diverse that you can perform several types of applications on that river. Plenty of space to choose from if you wanna fly fish the shore or even wade it.
