Eastern sierra memorial day

i fish ed twin lakes, june lake, convict lake, mammoth creek gull lake, and lone pine creek. total for the trip. two chub.

the fish were around but they didnt seem to want to bite my hook. i used every thing but flies.

i saw a few people with some nice stringers but it was all around faily slow. all the rivers had way too much water in them to fish effectively.

i am stupid for leaving my flypole at home.

Surfy,

You should have tried to "spin-cast" flies (I'm assuming that you were using spinning gear); I always spin-cast as opposed to fly rod (just my preference). Some wets like mayfly nymphs and some midges like Chartreuse and Bloodworm midges work well for me up there. Spinners or Bucktails like roosters or anything like that didn't work?

Well, at least you got up there!

make a modified one for the tuna with biga$$ treble hooks and good wire to hold the lure together (use big, strong split rings too)
