Thumbs up Tim Alper radio Interview

I listened to Ronnie Kovach's radio show this morning and he had Tim Alper on for the entire show. It was really interesting, he talked about things like possibly raising Brown Trout in the future and what he thinks is the best lures to use for his fish. The most interesting thing however was when Ronnie asked him to pick his top five lakes in the Eastern sierra for 2005, here is his list by number.

5. Lake Mary
4. June Lake
3. Lower Twin (Bridgeport)
2. Convict
1. Intake 2

All very interesting picks, he said the reason Intake 2 was his first choice is because following the draining and dredging that occoured there this winter it has recieved HUGE stockings of DFG and Alper's trout and will continue to be planted heavily all season long. I guess its a lot deeper than it has been in the last 50 years and has a new outlet, I think I also read something about it having a new inlet as well but I am not sure. Has anyone been there yet this season?

I heard that, too. I'm guessing lots of guys heard it, and more than a few are sharing what they heard at tackle shops and message boards like this. It'll be elbow-to-elbow all summer at those lakes, for sure.

I guess he's still keeping the Vickys a secret.....
