I'm not big on flyfishing, but I have been given some tips before. Make sure you have fast sinking flyline, and about a 6ft leader. Put a streamer on, let it sink, and then start stripping line in. You should get hit on the strip.

When I went to Hawaii a couple weeks ago I did some saltwater fly fishing. Not a whole lot but a few times. And I did get a lot of info from a friend of mine.

He said a sinking line would be best. Start out with a slower retrieve then speed up and go very fast. The fish like to chase the bait so go fast. I don't really know what you are fishing for and I dont do much saltwater fishing but crazy charlies work on a lot of fish, so do clousers. My friend also suggested poppers. Fish them around rocks. Black he said was his favorite color. Poppers give off the most action and noise and the fish go crazy over them.

regarding flies, You can use Brown Defense Crabs, Ghost shrimp attractors, and actually Crazy Charlies work very well with Corbina....mostly all at size #8 all the way up to #4 size hooks.

Austin you're pretty knowledgable yourself. You gotta remember though, 1.) I love fishing more than I can explain(just like alot of us here) 2.) I've been fortunate enough to fish all over the world for many different species in many different applications. 3.) I've been fishing for 24-25 years (since I was 4 yrs old). 4.)And I'm the epitome of a tackle whore! So you've got to expect that some one like myself would be as knowledgable as I am. I also think that there are many, many knowledgable anglers on our site, including yourself. I think that's why this forum works and runs so well.....alot of knowledgable anglers, but none of us too conceited to the point where we don't share and we don't help each other. I think everyone here has learned something from other members as well as everyone here has contributed their expertise in certain areas.

Well, thanks for the compliment!
