I'm not big on flyfishing, but I have been given some tips before. Make sure you have fast sinking flyline, and about a 6ft leader. Put a streamer on, let it sink, and then start stripping line in. You should get hit on the strip.

When I went to Hawaii a couple weeks ago I did some saltwater fly fishing. Not a whole lot but a few times. And I did get a lot of info from a friend of mine.
He said a sinking line would be best. Start out with a slower retrieve then speed up and go very fast. The fish like to chase the bait so go fast. I don't really know what you are fishing for and I dont do much saltwater fishing but crazy charlies work on a lot of fish, so do clousers. My friend also suggested poppers. Fish them around rocks. Black he said was his favorite color. Poppers give off the most action and noise and the fish go crazy over them. |
