AVET sale
Just recieved the WON today, and I saw the Sav-on Tackle ad for AVETS. Since I know some of you are Avet fans. I thought I should share this.
jx 4.1 - $139
lx 4.1 - $149
Call and verify, because this sounds a little too good to be true.

No that is right, Avet authorize dealers to sell the old models that cheap. But just like what CST said, nothing wrong with them. Kind of like the Airrus Rods selling 1/2 to there Sirrus rods becuase they changed their name.

Check out the new version on the same special price at Charkbait, in fact they said they will beat any price around too!

Those are the old models, still very excellent reels. I think they are phasing out the 4 point gear ratio. The design on the drag cap is the older AVET graphic with the shark on it (I'm almost positive), still a great deal for that caliber of a reel. Charkbait, just to let you know, when they sell the AVET's that inexpensively, they're usually selling the older model, and/or the new models, but they are refurbished from the AVET Industries factory; not that there's anything wrong with that at all. I'd take a refurbished AVET over a "new" reel of most other manufacturers.
Limits, BTW, thanks for the info.

No, called them today, all their $139/$149 avets are brand new 2005 model that just picked up last week. Said by the owner mark, these are brand new models!!!! Unlike SAVE-ON tackle, selling 2003 models.

Exactly. I knew the Sav-on Tackle AVET's had to at least be a couple years old models, still very good though, pretty good deal.
For some reason (and I don't know why), I don't trust Charkbait...maybe I'm just being paranoid. I'm pretty sure though that AVET might be phasing out of those particular models, that is probably why Charkbait got that great of a deal on them. In any case, that's a great deal for those models!
