Some new gear! - California Fishing

Well I finally made my decision and purchased some gear. I was debating whether to get a rod & reel or a camera... . Decided to go with a rod & reel.

I headed over to Three Rivers Fly & Tackle in Wasilla and started browsing there stuff. Never been there before, but they have a lot of nice things and the employees are very courteous.

I ended up getting a Sage 490 LE 4 weight 9' fly rod and a Ross Cimarron. They are awesome and I am stoked to get them out on the water. I have been wanting both a Sage and Ross for a long time. Don't worry guys, I am still wanting a Evolution ! That will be on my 6 weight though.

Sweet set up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now that i am working a regular job again my next rod will be a sage 3wt. for the local steams.

Yeah! Geoff that is a sweet set up! Beautiful rod and that is a nice reel. I've seen 'em before (the reel that is). Expecting your first report with that set up to hit the posts shortly. Good Choice in gear man.

I should be on the water soon, everything has been thawing very fast. Hardly any snow anymore, you can see grass allover. Some streams have started breaking up also!

Yeah, that's the only thing is Alaska is truely "Seasonal" in terms of fishing Freshwater.

geoff i"ll second that you do have a nice signature.If i send u a picture can you set me up with a signature like yours? i will really work on getting a nice shot from the opener(only 40 days to go and counting). convict here i come!!!
