Fished east shore for less than an hour. Nothing on the flats while throwing a crankbait. Hooked up on a 3" swimbait in the cove, but the fish spit the hook when it jumped.

I am trying the small 3" in pepper trout, shad looking and darK colors after sunset. Got a nice 6 the other day which encouraged me to keep trying.

Cool. Do you bounce them off the bottom and what size jig head do you use. I'll probably buy some BH at the Fred Hall show. Thanks

I just straight retrieve slowly and use the smaller jigheads 3/16 from Fishco at Turners. % for $3.59 I believe. If you're interested in trying the bigger ones which I will also check this link.
