Met up with Joe and Jon yesterday afternoon looking for a toad.
Didnt end up catching any of those but still a fun day out on the water..

I ended up with 1 trout on an orange Lip RipperZ trout worm and 1 more on green powerbait. Joes first time trout fishing yielded 1 trout on a orange Lip RipperZ. It was his first time jigging and he had a total of four hits. He later realized that you have to set the hook when you feel a bite and finally nailed one. Jon ended up with 1 trout casting about 5 miles out on powerbait.

Overall was pretty slow for most but still a lot of fun. Saw some anglers with a steady pick throughout the day in the typical spots. We mostly targeted the big fish but didnt catch any.

Ill be back.

Hey Bryan,
What size is the most productive when you cut your Lip Ripperz 1/3, 1/2, 1/4, whole? And what size jighead do you fish them with? The 1/32 ball jighead most of the time ? Does it seem to matter when you go for the big ones? How are the new colors working?

I'm kinda new to jig fishing, but everyone i have asked says they use a 1/32 jig head. As for the size, i would start off with half, and if you are being bit short, shorten up your worm. As for colors, personally i would use either chartruese or orange, but its varies at different lakes. As for the big ones, im not quite sure.

Well, this is about all i know. Im looking forward to see what Bryan is going to say.
