I'm looking for a good jig rod to pair with my new Stradic Mg. What do you guys think about this rod? I'm going to call some tackle shops and see if there's one I can check out.

I just broke the exact same rod this week on a Huge SUV! My wifes car! I am so sad! I had that rod for over 7 years. I guess it is time to replace it.

Its a super small, and light rod, you'd have to put a tiny reel on it.

This rod is awesome! I have one for myself using a hardbody daiwa ondine 2000, as well many regulars at the lake who strap on either stella's, hardbody 1500 -2500 ondines too. A 7 footer Phenix can handle up to 6lb line no problem, and it a great pole for jigging, bait throwing, or casting. Sensitive to trout, and really feels the action! A custom corked handle, so taping your reel in the best place fit for your preferrence. $95.00 is dirt cheap compared to any tackle shop. Retail would go well over $175 and that's for a standard black and sliver wrap, not CUSTOM.
Email me @ friendlyfisherman@cox.net or PM on this board if interested. I can deliver to your location if in the local So Cal Area.

BanginBob - Thanks for the info. I went to a tackle shop last night and did a bunch of comparisons. I think I'm going to go with a St. Croix. Thanks for the info though!

fishing pole on ebay

Hey Bangin Bob,
Sorry can't P.M you because my computer will not let me . But I saw your custom Phenix Rod on EBAY and I would Like to offer you 110 for it straight up and I will personally drive out and get it. I lost my 7 foot Phenix because someone stole it. This would be great. Please get back with me.

Hows it going,

I have (2) poles one on ebay that has the fuji seat, a guy has a bid on it right now. If you want the one with a seat, bid 110 and if nobody bids over you, you got it I'll refund you the shipping charges if you pick up

If you want the other phenix that is a custom cork handle, would require tape to seat the reel, I'll do that also for $110, and I'll meet ya half way to where you live This pole is brand new still in the factory sealed bag, and custom wrapped in radiant green, exactly the same finish as the blue.

Littletrout,

Please check your email, or give me a call @ 626 272 3608;

I'll be in the O.C. area Saturday morning dropping of one of the rods to a customer. I'll have another phenix rod with me, brand new, factory sealed bag. Lets if we can meet in the morning if possible.

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

I don't want to read everyone's response about your rod, it confuses me. So I'll just ask you. Do you still have the custom wrapped Phenix, and/ or the one with the Fuji seat? (either / or) I'll only take the one with the seat if MegaTroutChaser doesn't want it (you're probably tired of people asking )
