Anyone want to split the cost for a boat?
For Sale: The WE SEVEN , Wiggins42' , newly re-built Detroit 671 deisel (runs GREAT), new stainless exhaust, 20 scoop bait tank, radar, vhf, color crt sonor. Coast Guard rated @ 24 passengers, new Fire-Boy halon fire system, generator(needs work...engine runs),hyrdraulic anchor winch, extra anchors, new stainless bow roller, and many extra mechanical parts.
Many poeple here have seen this boat..and maybe even fished aboard it...has been in service as a charter/open party boat in the Ventura county area for many years...and has a respectable following. This will make a nice charter/commercial boat, and not too big to be a great private pleasure fishing boat.
if anyone is interested in splitting the cost of this boat with me (it would be in the $3000 range...) please PM me via the Private Message system of hookup. i can give you pictures and stuff too.

It's not towable, it's 42ft. I might be selling my boat to get in on it. It is a slow boat only going 11knots or so, and apparently it needs some work and no sleeping quarters... However the Diesels are strong... It may really be worth it. Move it to HB and we are set. Talk about some hookup get togethers

It would be great for 1/2 to 3/4 day trips up and down the coast, but its a little far North isnt it? Bring it down to Long Beach or O.C.

we would move it south if we get it. huntington beach like james said, but i would like to hit up some spots at palos verdes and that would make for a long drive. but then again long beach would mean we can slowley ride to cat isle

Well as of right now trying to get the money together for something like this may be difficult. A lot of things would have to align, but we will see what happens. I am guessing it would need about $10k in repairs from a lack of upkeep. $10k doing the work ourselves that is. However, saying we paid asking price that puts us at $17k for a boat that would run well and look good at the same time. Could also be a 6 pack charter. Only thing is it has one of the weakest engines out there for a load of that magnitude. Hence the 11knott top speed or about 12.65 mph. This equates to a 2hr 5 minute trip from LB or HB to catalina at full speed. This engine at that speed burns about 15gallons per hour, so a one way trip to cat would be about 35 gallons. Multiply that by $2.25 per gallon of diesel, not counting bulk purchase discount, a one way trip would run $78.75, total round trip $157.50. This doesnt not count trolling, moving spots, and assumes glassy conditions, etc... Bait is $20 or so dollars, plus miscellaneous other costs. Figure a trip to Catalina would cost anywhere from $400- $700 dependent on how long we stayed, how much bait we picked up, etc... However with say 12 guys, which would be a TON of room it wouldnt be that bad and of course local trips would be half of that so 6 - 8 guys could go out and $50.00 a pop and fish anywhere they wanted to. 3/4 day price to stay out as long as you would want to and leave whenever you want to... Not too shabby
