Trap rig for halibut?

I've read about these trap rigs and seen D Fish's diagram, but what size treble hook do you use, where do you tie the treble hook off and what lbs. test do you use?

the treble hook should be relative to the size of your bait. use the smallest size you can get away with. as for the line strenght, use a braided line that has a stronger test then your main line.

You can get pre-rigged trap baits, that seem to do well for average operation.

Where do you tie the braided line to? One end to the treble hook and one end to the eye hole or maybe the hook?

tie the braid onto the hookeye of your live bait or circle hook.
