Rod for a Torium

What would be a good rod for a Torium 20? I want one that is heavy enough to cast surface iron, but light enough so i can easily cast a sardine. I dont want to spend more than 100 bucks though. I dont know alot about rods.

If you can afford a little bit more money Try This store in LA "Cosmos fishing" There custom wrapped calstar grafigters are priced at $120 and up There about 30 percent cheaper than factory rods and plus there custom! I recommed the 800 L

Yeah there surface irons and they are the most famous jigs ever made! I don't know how much they weigh but with a good angler and good equip you can fly these jigs to hunger yellows! Waiting on the outside chum line.

The rod for a Torium 20?

The 800L is a fine rod, but will easily exceed the $100 limit, in custom trim, or off the rack. Depending on what you're spooling your Torium with (20-30#, right?), the Calstar or Seeker 270 or 270H might be the way to go, as they are available at 8 feet, and are better suited to either live bait or Iron than the Grafighter. (IMO)

If I were you, and spooling the Torium with 25#, I'd go with the Calstar 270H. With 20#, the 270.

I'm just sayin'....

I have a 270 and it is one of the best rods I have. It is extremely versatile, it pitches bait better then any rod I have and it can handle irons also. If I were you I would get this one, it is a great rod. I got a 9' jigstick for christmas and I want to get a torium to put on it, to fish 30. the 20 sound like the right size?
