Well, before I answer your above questions my favorite color is the light yellow with Green. I think that is fighting frog, but I will need Bryson to confirm that for me.
What brand and color of trout worm do you prefer?
Lip Ripperz, favorite color is orange and the one I mentioned above, though the cotton candy works very well for me on the bluegill. Though I like the "natural" power worm.
Do you use a whole or half?
Again depends. In the Sierra's and on other DFG fish, usually half on a jig head. Though for bass and bluegill I use 3/4 to whole one on a #10 hook.
Sliding sinker, split shot or jighead?
I have used them all. If you can float it, a lip ripper will work just like powerbait, cast it out and let it sit. ssssssshhhhhhh don't tell anyone about that.
Do you have a theory on why your technique works over others?
Not really, because I have been fishing where Bryson and I are both fishing lip ripperz and he has outfished me.
Do you use scent?
Usually no.
If yes, what brand and flavor do you use and how many others have you tried?
I have tried just about all of the scents out there from Hot Sauce to Anise. Though I usually don't use sauce on plastics, when I use scent right now it is Powerbait Powersauce or whatever in Garlic Flavor.
Does your technique work equally well on the DFG fish as it does on Super stockers?
I have had wide open days.
Besides trout what other species of fish have you caught and how does you technique differ when targeting those species.
Well, Like I mentioned before I have had a lot of luck on bass, bluegill, and crappie on Lip ripperz. Powerworms are too small and flimsy to really fish for bass, crappie I am sure they would work on, but I use lip ripperz. Look at Bryson's 2.5lber. Again "fighting frog" is my favorite color at lake perris for bass. We have gone out there and had 50 bass days.
