I have seen that a lot of people use power pro lines, do you recommend it for rocky bottom fishing? should I just stick to mono?
what mono brand you usually use?

Power Pro braided line would be great as a backing for your reels. I would fill most of the reel with braid and have a top shot of mono. This way, if you get stuck on the bottom, you would be able to break your line without losing too much. I'm not sure if you've ever tried to break a braided line after getting it caught on the bottom, but it doesn't work very well. That stuff will cut right through your hand.

I normally fish Maxima and P-line mono.

No I have never fished with strong lines, always ARANDY wich is from Brazil its a mono line and with that I have cut myself, I imagine power pro is strong.

Thanks, will do that, what knot do you recommend to join both lines

I would recommend the Albright knot. You can view a good tutorial of this knot on the Power Pro website.

power pro would be a good line for fishing rocky areas. the stuff is really tough and allows to to muscle the fish out of the cover. make sure you have a stiff rod and button down your drag. powerpro holds pretty well with typical monofilimant knots. i use a san diego jam knot. if the area isnt too rocky and the fish your fishing for are relativly week you could use mono. o yea like jon said braids can cut through your things easily, so make sure you have a rod with metal guides.
