9.6.08 Creek
My youngest daughter and I decided to stop and fish the creek after we dropped off her sister for a tennis tournament. We got there to find the water was high and stained from the recent Hurricane Gustav rain. We tied on some small jig heads and tipped them with soft plastic hellgramites. The fish were hitting hard and fast, just not sticking. I wound up getting two very small green sunfish and my daughter got the big fat skunk. She says she shall be avenged! LOL

We plan on hitting up a local pond tomorrow for some bass. She'll probably kick my butt there.

That's what I'm talking about. How's the flathead action in you part of Missouri?
Nice to see you found the time to get out... That makes me want to go and throw some little jigs. Catching gills with kids is always a good time!

Flatheads are around here. Just not where we fish very often.
